National Bureau/Néw Delhi:  Prof. Saket Kushwaha assumes charge as Vice Chancellor, University of Ladakh.
Following his assumption of office, today on 01.02.2025, Prof Saket Kushwaha interacted (online/offline) with the officers of the University of Ladakh, Director College Affairs, Principals of all the Constituent Colleges, University of Ladakh at Administrative Office, Melongthang, Leh.

Before this appointment, he was posted as Senior Professor, Department of Agriculture Economics, Institute of Agriculture Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi for the last six years. Prof. Saket Kushwaha has served as Vice Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi University, Arunachal Pradesh for six years and Vice Chancellor, Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga, Bihar for three years.
He has served as Head of Agricultural Economics and Extension Programme for about seven (7) years at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, (ATBU), Bauchi, Nigeria. In ATBU, Nigeria, he established a Limited Liability Company for ATB University which is currently earning around one million US$ per annum. He has successfully completed World Bank / USAID projects from 1996 to 2006 for several million US Dollars as a partner with Michigan State University and Purdue University (USA). He has also completed more than five (5) World Bank funded projects in Africa.
Prof. Saket Kushwaha has over 32 years of wide exposure post Ph.D. experience in teaching/ research, extension and administration in India and abroad. He became Professor in 1999 and has 25 years of administrative experience as Head of the Department, Director and Vice Chancellor. He has also supervised and concluded 26 (Twenty-six) Ph.D.(s) and over 150 (one hundred fifty) M.Sc.(s)/MBA in India and abroad. Internationally published 128 (one hundred twenty-eight) refereed articles and attended over 100 national and international conferences.
